I can’t believe it has been two years since I decided to say goodbye to fear & take on my dream of becoming a photographer! Although I have always had a camera in my hand, this marks the start of my journey to photograph people other than my family. During these last two years I have learned so much such as: always be learning (love furthering my photography knowledge to give my clients the best experience possible!!), try new things (self portraits, sure why not?!), get out of my comfort zone (started a co-hosted senior rep group with Photo & Design By Kat), & just upleveling in every way possible (shhh...I got some new gear to learn). So this is me just living it up in year TWO of business!
Enough about me! I want to give a shout out to this family right here!!!
This family here has been with me from the start & I mean the start! This Momma (Jess) is one of my best friends & we pretty much have been going through life's big moments together (from getting married close together & having our first kiddos months apart!!). After I had my son I came to Jess & talked to her about how I wanted to start a photography business, but that I had ZERO ideas on how to do it aside from asking friends & family to model for me. Jess graciously allowed me to capture her baby shower & take some photos of her with her adorable baby bump, from there I was hooked!
Fast Forward to today!! And they are still appearing in front of my camera, these are their little boy’s two year photos & they have some exciting news:)
When I found out about their exciting news they were traveling home from vacation & I was just getting back into my van after my cousin’s wedding ceremony. Boy was I floored! Tried calling Jess only to find out I was taken straight to voicemail since they were flying home. Needless to say I had to keep my joy to myself until I saw them, & when I did the excitement of once again going through life’s moments together again hit me! I am so happy our next bundles of joy will be close in age once again just like their big brothers!
Jess I am so beyond thankful to be going through life with you & your family & being able to share these life moments with you!! I can’t wait to watch where our journeys take us!! Thanks for always being there to listen to all my successes and flops & allowing me to capture your family’s precious moments:)
